Limited to Viens Avec Moi this fall is the
new kids on the block; Bernice&Barclay. This design duo is based out of
Ottawa and are fresh off a fashion week debut. Using only high quality
fabrics, the designers insist on the collection being made and manufactured in
Canada.
The inspiration board consisted of vintage
photographs of Debbie Harry as well as a more sophisticated touch inspired by
British royalty. The colour pallet
concentrates itself on jewel tones and neutrals both rich and unavoidable for
the cold season. They turned to jersey knitwear as their staple simply because
of its effortless werability. Other
pieces include leather leggings, slouchy long sleeve tunics, and soft basics. Accenting the monochromatic colour pieces is a
bold Missoni like zigzag print that conveys just enough of a statement.
