Founded in 2009, Heartloom is a New York based brand that combines East Coast sophistication with a laid back West Coast style. This contemporary women’s clothing line is casual, modern and cool, focusing primarily on bohemian style, flowy designs. Picture vintage inspired prints, delicate (but not too delicate) dresses perfect for any occasion, lightweight shorts and knitwear with unexpected and beautiful detailing.

n. Translation “the state of being happy,” in a high degree; bliss: from happy + -ness.

Félicité is a lifestyle brand which focuses on creating easy and ready to wear garments. Over the years they have expanded from soft, lightweight boyfriend style shirting into a full collection of season appropriate ‘must have’ pieces.

Before creating Félicité, Venay, the brain behind the fashion label, worked in the heart of the fashion industry, launching over 30 ready-to-wear brands across Los Angeles and New York. So we feel confident when we say she knows what she’s doing!

So how did Félicité come about? It all began when Venay envisioned creating a line of clothing that was not only known for its everlasting quality, but allowed women to both look and feel their best – and what could be better than that?! So today, this high-end womenswear focuses on basic silhouettes, taking into consideration fit and versatility, incorporating flattering color palettes and fabrics to suit every woman. We're happy to announce that Maman et bébé Monday mornings are back - so be sure to save the date! We will be opening our doors from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, November 9th, 2015, so that you can shop in a stress free environment while your babes sleep, eat or play with other little ones! Fresh coffee and le petite déjeuner is served on these zen like mornings. All are welcome, so feel free to join us sans bébé as well!

So who’s this local designer we speak of, you ask? Ottawa born and raised Krista Norris, of course!

Krista Norris Collection is a Canadian accessories line focused on creating unique and timeless scarves for the adventurous but sophisticated, the spontaneous but composed.

This line, which is inspired by textured fabrics and authentic leathers, was born out of seeing how one item can be incorporated into an outfit, day in and day out.

If you have a passion for scarves (I mean, who doesn’t love cozying up to a super chic, ultra soft, over-sized scarf?!) and for supporting local, you want to try one of these on! If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of - it’s denim. But our favourite? Mother Denim. Founded by Tim Kaeding and Lela Tillem in 2010, this newer brand to hit the shelves can be recognized for it’s ultra-soft feel and perfect fit. Made using fine-quality stretch denim and cutting-edge fabric finishes, Mother offers a wide range of styles. Finally, a brand you can love and live in - one both you and your mother can approve of.

Monday Muse: The Dannijo Sisters

Today's Monday Muse is a two for one. What's the plural of 'muse' anyway? Muses? Mui? Either way, today's inspirational ladies are the creators of some covetable jewels. The sisters behind the jewellery design empire, Dannijo admit that their success seemed to pop up overnight, but overnight success or not, we can't get enough of Jodie and Danielle Snyder's girly style. And we love their entrepreneurial spirit.

Teaching themselves to make jewellery as kids, the beginnings of Dannijo was a capsule collection that raised money for grass-roots initiatives in Africa. The girls are huge advocates of Women's Rights, PS Happy Belated International Women's Day!!!

Often seen with their famous (also stylish) friends like Leandra Medine (AKA The Man-Repeller) or actress Rashida Jones, the sisters really look like they have fun. Which, when you own your own company with your best friend, (who is also your sister) what else are you supposed to do!!

Twins or not, the girls have a distinct style with a preference for short skirts and dresses and tall heels. For them, everything is in the details and taking their style to the next level with the shoes, accessories and bags.

From her beginnings as an intern (The "Super Intern") for Teen Vogue on The Hills, to her rise to beauty blog queen, Emily Weiss has always come across as the cool chick you'd want to be best friends with.

Not to mention that being best friends with Emily would make you privy to all the latest beauty trends and maybe some VIP action (she was all over NYFW last week), Emily's style is what makes us long for a friend request from the newly platinum-haired beauty.

We love her edgy but romantic style. She always looks effortlessly put together in a minimalistic, 'New York' sort of way. We also can't help but admire her strong work ethic and amazing success story. Emily is proof that hard work can accomplish anything. Her business savvy and talent only add to her amazing style.
